Farewell: Fast bowler Jake Ball has been with Nottinghamshire since he was a teenager

JAKE BALL says he qwill always be a Nottinghamshire supporter despite announcing he is to leave the club after 15 years.

The 32-year-old England fast bowler has taken 423 wickets for Notts during his time at Trent Bridge.

“It’s been a rollercoaster of a journey, but I’ve never lost sight of how special it’s been to call this place home,” he said.

“Trent Bridge will always have a very special place in my heart, and while I’m looking forward to whatever challenges come next, I’ll always be a Notts supporter.”

Mick Newell, director of cricket at Nottinghamshire, said: “Jake is a great person and has had a tremendous impact on the dressing room. He’s a very popular member of the group who has led by example on and off the pitch; we wish him all the best with the next chapter of his career.”
