The much-anticipated clash between the two arch-rivals in ICC World Cup 2023 will be played on 14th October at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The hotel prices have shot up drastically and to stay at night, fans have booked appointments in hospitals. President of the Ahmedabad Medical Association Tushar Patel revealed that they have seen a surge in check-ups in hospitals. Speaking to Reuters, he explained:

“We have come across some cases of people coming to watch the India-Pakistan match also taking an appointment for health check-ups and staying in hospitals.”

The Ahmedabad Hospitals and Nursing Homes Association, however, isn’t in favor of having fans like these in hospitals. They stated that they asked their members not to entertain such appointments. President Bharat Gharvi told Reuters:

“We have asked our members not to entertain such requests. Hospitals are not meant for non-patients.”
