Indian Cricket Commentator and Journalist Harsha Bhogle took to his official ‘X’ handle to announce that he won’t be not able to make it to the high voltage clash between Indian and Pakistan. Long time rivals India and Pakistan will lock horns with each other at World’s largest stadium, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14.

Both India and Pakistan have secured two wins since the starting of the 2023 World Cup. While India registered a victory against Australia and Afghanistan, Pakistan emerged triumphs against Netherlands and Sri Lanka. India secured a 6 wicket victory against Australia and a 8-wicket victory against Afghanistan.

Harsha Bhogle’s Twitter post

Also regarded as the ‘Voice of Cricket’, Harsha Bhogle, in his tweet confirmed his unavailability in the commentary box on the day of IND Vs PAK. Informing about his health, Bhogle posted “I am disappointed at having to miss out on #IndiavsPak on the 14th. But I have dengue and the resultant weakness, and lowered immunity, will make it impossible. I am hoping to be back in time for the game on the 19th. My colleagues, and the broadcast crew, have been very helpful (and took on the extra workload during the second half of #IndiaVsAus ) and I look forward to saying thank you to them in person.”

Hoping to make a return soon

The 62-year old thanked his colleagues and co-workers for the extra workload they took in the India vs Australia match, when he wasn’t available for full time due to health concerns. Harsha hopes to make a steady recovery so that he can at least be available for the match between India and Bangladesh on October 19th at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
