India has thrillingly started their journey and kept the thrill alive even in their last clash against Afghanistan. They just snatched the win from the opponent. On October 11, India met Afghanistan in a face-to-face clash at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, in Delhi. India conquered with both bat and ball. Rohit Sharma just nailed the show with his batting masterclass. Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer remained unbeaten and secured India’s win. But another heartwarming gesture by the Indian team won netizens’ hearts.

The beautiful gesture:

India won the match against Afghanistan by eight wickets. The team is in a good spot in the tournament. But a heartwarming gesture by Team India won millions of hearts. It was the last day of work for the Delhi Cricket Association’s dressing room attendant Vinod Kumar. He gave service to all the players for 40 years. On his last day, Team India presented him with an Indian jersey by Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.   

The jersey was signed by all Indian players. It was a gift to him before his final goodbye to his work. He has served DDCA for 40 years. He has seen many players in his life. He is saying goodbye with a lot of good memories. That genuine smile on Vinod Kumar’s face shows how happy he is inside. 

A tour of the match:

India and Afghanistan locked horns at Arun Jaitley Stadium, in Delhi. Initially, Afghanistan won the toss and decided to bat first. Afghanistan didn’t have a good start. Afghan opener Gurbaz lost his wicket on 21 runs. Ibrahim Zardran scored 22 runs in 28 balls. Afghan captain Shahidi scored a fabulous 80 in 88 balls. Omarzai scored 62 in 69 balls. They ended their innings at 272/8. 

In the second innings, India was in a beast mode. They started with a bang. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was in a beast mode. He scored 131 in just 84 balls. He completed his ton in just 63 balls. He broke the highest sixes record of Chris Gayle. With this century, he registered his 7th century in 13 innings. 

Ishan Kishan missed his half-century by three runs. Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer remained unbeaten and secured India’s win. Virat Kohli scored 55 runs in 56 balls. He smashed 6 boundaries. Shreyas remained unbeaten in 25 runs in 23 balls. India won the match by eight wickets.
