Following a striking moment in yesterday’s match between India and Afghanistan, Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik has expressed his thoughts about the past feud between Virat Kohli and Afghanistan‘s Naveen-ul-Haq. Team India clinched a 8-wicket victory against Afghanistan yesterday marking its second win in the ongoing World Cup campaign.

The match turned out to be a settlement of the ongoing grudges held by Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq. Earlier this month, during the Indian Premier League, Virat and Naveen got involved in an irresistible on-field spat. But it seems both of them have now moved on from the incident as the two were shaking hands and hugging each other during the IND vs AFG match.

Karthik’s reaction to the settlement

Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) fellow teammate Dinesh Karthik expressed his views on the past issue and showed great pleasure that things have gotten resolved between the two. He stated that things were down between both the players in the IPL but now it feels nice to see them together again. He asserted “There was a little bit of tension in the IPL. But it is nice to see them make up and hug. When Naveen-ul-Haq came to bat, the crowd was cheering for Kohli’s name. They really wanted to get under his skin. But it was nice to see them making amends, and I think that’s what world cricket needs.”

Asking the crowd to stop mocking Naveen

Well when it comes to Virat Kohli, his sportsmanship impresses the audience and cricket world like no other. When the crowd at the Delhi stadium cheered Kohli’s name on Naveen’s entry, Virat asked the audience to not cheer his name and therefore stop mocking Naveen.

Former Indian bowler also expressed his views on the settlement of earlier dispute between the two. He certainty mentioned that while it is nice to see both of them sorting out their differences, it is not necessary that the two sides have come to a proper outpost.
