Indian ace spinner Kuldeep Yadav has turned the tables with his two wicket haul dismissing batters Saul Shakeel and Iftikhar Ahmed. The big-ticket clash between India and Pakistan is still on with India dismissing Pakistani batters for just 191 runs. An outstanding display by all the bowlers put India on a good start with all Ravindra Jadeja, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav taking two wickets each. Kudeep Yadav put on a great showdown by dismissing two of Pakistan’s crucial batters. After the end of first innings, Kuldeep talked at length about how he felt about dismissing the opponent team too early.

“I have been enjoying”, says Kuldeep

Opening up about how he’s feeling about the match, Kuldeep remarked “I have been enjoying the World Cup. I knew where to bowl on this pitch. Difficult wicket to bowl on to be honest, it’s on the slower side. Pakistan were not trying too much, so kept it wicket to wicket varying my pace. First seven overs we didn’t give too much width, they were not trying to do much. Rizwan didn’t sweep me, I was hoping to make him play a bad shot. I have been watching him sweeping a lot or the paddle, so I was trying to keep it wicket to wicket. Luckily I got him. Just enjoyed bowling.”

The two wickets

Kuldeep Yadav first caught Iftikhar Ahmed and the batsman was clueless about it. A tossed-up delivery saw the batter try to play a sweep leaning to attempt the delivery. But rather he played a bit early and the ball deflected on the leg stump therefore making it a googly delivery outside the leg stump. The Pakistani batter couldn’t make a great impact as he was dismissed for a mere 4 runs.

Then comes Saud Shakeel’s wicket. He trapped him in a lbwand made his second wicket in the same over. The ball was on the leg stump, and the ball beat the bat while Shakeel was defending himself. Saud Shakeel too managed to score just 6 runs putting Pakistan on a setback. Kuldeep returned with the figures 2/35 and put India on the driving seat.
