In what will be the last game of IPL 2024 to be played in Visakhapatnam, Kolkata Knight Riders comfortably beat Delhi Capitals by 106 runs. KKR have now won three out of three wins while DC only have just one win in four matches. 

Electing to bat first, KKR went very hard at the start. Sunil Narine (85 off 39), Angkrish Raghuvanshi (54 off 27) and Andre Russell (41 off 19) made significant contributions as KKR racked up 272/7, the second-highest team total in IPL history. 

Delhi Capitals never looked like they were in the chase after losing four wickets in less than five overs, but skipper Rishabh Pant (55 off 25) and Tristan Stubbs (54 off 32) were the only players to put up a fight for DC who eventually were bowled out for 166.

2 – KKR’s 272/7 is their second-highest team total in the IPL just short of SRH’s 277.

4 – KKR’s 88/1 in the powerplay is their second-highest and the fourth-highest overall in the league. 

3 – KKR’s 135/1 is the third-highest team total at the 10-over mark in IPL history. 

18 – KKR’s 18 sixes in their innings is the joint-third most sixes in a team innings.

2 – Rishabh Pant and Tristan Stubbs’ partnership of 93 was the second-highest ever for DC for the fifth wicket. 

28 – In the 12th over of DC’s innings, Rishabh Pant hit Venkatesh Iyer for 28 runs. In DC’s history, this is the third most runs a single batsman has hit in an over for DC. Previously, Shreyas Iyer had hit Shivam Mavi for 29 in an over and Virender Sehwag had hit 30 to Andrew Symonds.

2 – KKR’s victory margin of 106 runs is their second-highest ever, it is also the ninth-highest victory margin in IPL history.
