Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) fast bowler Mayank Yadav has been breathing fire with the ball in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The fast bowler has made many go gaga with express pace and has become the most talked-about name in the league so far. 

Mayank Yadav made his debut for Lucknow Super Giants in the game against Punjab Kings and made sure that he left an immediate impact on the team. The fast bowler troubled the opposition batters with his raw pace and helped his team win the game from a losing situation. 

Mayank Yadav returned with the figures of 3/27 and helped his team win the game. The fast bowler stunned many when he clocked 155 kmph with ease and kept bowling that consistently. He won Man of the Match in his debut game in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and made sure that he came up with an even better performance in the next game.

During the game, Mayank Yadav clocked 156.7kph and entered his name in the record books for one of the fastest deliveries in the Indian Premier League. The Lucknow Super Giants fast bowler is now on the 4th spot in the all-time fastest balls in the history of the league. 

Mayank Yadav also now has the fastest delivery in the ongoing edition of the league. But his name is at the top which has surprised many. Mumbai Indians pacer Gerald Coetzee during the game against Rajasthan Royals was also fuming and the last ball of the match, which he bowled was 157.4kph, as shown by the speed gun.

But what caught the attention of many was it showed that the fast bowler had delivered the ball against Punjab Kings.

Mumbai Indians are yet to play against Punjab Kings in the IPL 2024. However, with all the confusion over Gerald Coetzee’s 157.4kph delivery. ESPNCricinfo in the coverage of the game between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals confirmed that it was an error in speed gun. 

They revealed that Gerald Coetzee actually clocked the ball around 141kph. And his delivery of 152.3 kmph against Kings was a graphic error. Therefore, Lucknow Super Giants pacer Mayank Yadav remains the fastest bowler in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The pacer would be keen to give more memorable performances and help his team win.
