The biggest Stadium in the world Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad was host to IND vs PAK game in the ICC World Cup 2023. Match 12 of the tournament was all about the Indian Cricket Team as they dominated Pakistan in every aspect of the game and registered their third consecutive win of the tournament.

India opted to field first and quite a few eyebrows were raised after their decision. However, Indian bowlers made sure that they stood tall on the captain’s call and bowled magnificently well to bundle out Pakistan for just 191 runs, which was well below par.

Pakistan had a great start as Abdullah Shafique (20) and Imam-ul-Haq (36) played some breathtaking strokes and added 41 runs for the opening partnership. After that, Babar Azam (50) and Mohammad Rizwan (49) played well and it seemed that they would end up getting around 300 runs.

However, they suffered a massive collapse as they were bundled out for just 191 runs. At one stage, they were 155/2 and to get out so early reflected the quality of the bowling India delivered. They lost their last 8 wickets for just 36 runs and were under pressure.

For India, Mohammad Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Hardik Pandya, and Ravindra Jadeja bagged two wickets each and put Pakistan in trouble. The Indian bowlers coming back after a fiery start from Pakistan was something to cherish for many.

In the chase, captain Rohit Sharma yet again gave his team a blistering start and took Pakistan bowlers to the cleaners. Although Shubman Gill (16) and Virat Kohli (16) went back early, the senior opener made sure that he continued his carnage on the opposition.

Rohit Sharma scored 86 runs off 63 balls and took his team close to the victory. Shreyas Iyer smashed a vital unbeaten half-century in the end and along with KL Rahul (19) took his team home by 7 wickets. India now have won 8 consecutive matches against Pakistan in World Cups.
